Urea

Urea is also produced naturally by the skin and is part of the essential Natural Moisturizing Factor (NMF) which regulates skin’s moisture content. Urea is hygroscopic, which means it is able to bind moisture into the outermost layer of skin, thus relieves itching and roughness, helping to fight dry skin symptoms. Nothing better for dry skin
I have severely dry skin (think snake skin or an elephants skin) and I’ve been using this for years. Yes, it’s expensive, but totally worth it. I recently ran out and let me tell you, it will NEVER happen again. My skin feels horrible without the moisture from this lotion. This lotion is very thick, but not sticky and that’s what I love about it. The Advanced Repair doesn’t work as well (for me), so I’ll stick to this for my entire life. And, there’s no smell (which is nice if have bad allergies to perfumy products).
